After winning the toss ,Pakistan Skipper decided to bat first. The start of Pakistan was not good at all as they started slow but were looking steadily moving. They got the first blow in 10th over when Kamran Akmal was caught by Dhoni and it started looking like that India might get through Pakistan Batting once again but Masterpiece partnership between Younis Khan and Salman Butt changed the match and swing it to Pakistan Side. They both played superbly and added a awesome 200 plus Partnership. Both Scored vivid centuries which made early 90’s memories alive . India’s bowlers began impressively - conceding just extras in the first 25 overs, that too leg byes - but fell apart in the face of the onslaught. Eight bowlers were tried but Pakistan made the most of the lack of a fifth specialist,Piyush Chwala will try to forget todays’ miserable bowling. as he pwned by Pakistan Batsmen for boundaries. He gave 85 runs from 10 overs. Irfan too proved costly today. Misbah-ul-Haq’s 21-ball 33 pushed the total beyond 300 mark as Pakistan easily scored 315/3 in 50 overs .
Needed 316 runs,India wont be dream of dreadful start as they got today. Virendra Sehwag was cuaght in second over of the inning and looked like that India will be in trouble but Gambhir and Rohit Sharma both looked pretty much in good touch as they kept the score board ticking plus build 59 runs partnership. When it started looking good for India Rohit Sharma got out . Soon Gambhir got out and India started struggling . To add more problems Yusuf too got out in chase. Now its upto Yuvi and Raina to take India to Victory.
